Visa fee: US$ 30 per Visa (refer to General Information)
Processing Time: Approximately 20 - 30 minutes
Requirements: 1 - Visa application form (to be obtained at the airport)
2 - One passport size photograph
3 - Valid passport
4 - US$ 30 in cash
Procedure: The counter is located in the arrival hall at the right side before the passport control. The visa covers one full page in the passport.
Validity of Visa The visa is valid for two weeks of travel and is single entry only.
General Information
Visa upon arrival is recommended only on arrival at the International Airport or the Friendship Bridge in Vientiane. For all other entries (overland) please contact our booking office.
It is advisable not to keep copies of the application forms because they change regularly. Obtaining visas for Laos is quite simple and easy.
It is now officially confirmed that visa-upon-arrival to Laos will be given to all tourists entering the same three ports as before: Vientiane and Luang Prabang airports and the Friendship Bridge in Vientiane. Without prior notice, the Lao authority has stopped issuing visa-upon-arrival for around 2 weeks since March 9, 2001. Tourists with official registration letter with NTA and Immigration office would be able to get visa-upon-arrival.
