The rainy season starts in May and ends in September or October with average temperatures of 30?C. In the mountain regions it is cooler and the temperatures can drop to freezing point in December and January. The first half of the dry season, from November to March, is quite chilly with temperatures ranging from 10?C to 20?C. During the second half of the dry season temperatures can reach up to 35C.
The best time for travelling is between November and March. However it can be very cold in the highlands.
